Research summary: Her research interests focus on the applications of ostracods from all types of environments, such as open marine, coastal, lagoons, lakes, in micropaleontological and (paleo)environmental studies.

She specializes in modern ostracod analysis aiming to assess ecological preferences and adaptations of this group and relevant applications concerning indices of environmental pressure.

She is also particularly interested in the use of microfossils in paleogeography and microfacies analysis of carbonate rocks.
