Useful Information
Sustenance
All students are entitled to sustenance at the Campus Refectory, which is located in the premises of the School of Philosophy, at approximately 10 minutes walking distance from the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment. Sustenance is provided at special low prices. The Refectory is open daily, between 12:00 – 16:00 and 18:00‐21:00, except for a 15‐day break during the Christmas and Easter holidays respectively. Students are also entitled to special low‐ price sustenance at all the Refectories of the University and at the University Club.
Healthcare
All students are entitled to comprehensive and free health and medical care until their graduation. Health care is provided at the numerous facilities of the University and at the clinics and hospitals of the School of Medicine.
Student ID card
The students are supplied with a special ID card. These cards are strictly personal and non‐transferable. If lost, they can be replaced but only following a tedious process which may take a minimum of two months to complete.
Discounts in Transportation Fares
Students are entitled to 50% discount in Public Transportation fares (bus/trolley‐bus, subway, tram and suburban railway) operating in the Metropolitan area of Athens and 25% discount in Public Transportation fares in other Greek cities. The students must produce their ID cards every time they buy a reduced fare ticket.

Library
The MSc students have access to the modernized areas of the Library of the Faculty of Sciences, including computer workstations with access to databases, writing areas and group study areas
University Sports Centre
Students have access to the gym and swimming pool of the university campus.

Are lessons in person or online?
The courses are held in person and attendance is mandatory. In the event that the absences in a course exceed 1/3 of the study hours, the student is considered to have failed that course and has the option to repeat it once more in the next term to be taught.
