Establishment of two (2) scholarships of excellence per academic year for the MSc course “Industrial and Environmental Applications in Micropaleontology”

The Assembly of the Department of Geology & Geoenvironment, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, taking into account the current institutional framework, approved the establishment of two (2) scholarships of excellence per academic year.

Conditions:

Postgraduate students who have completed the first semester of the regular duration of the MSc course, may apply for excellence scholarships. Candidates must not be receiving a scholarship from any other institution for the specific period. The scholarships exempt their beneficiaries from the tuition fees of the second semester of the course, corresponding to the total amount of 1000 euros for EU citizens or 1500 euros for non-EU citizens.

Criteria:

– Grade point average in first semester modules
– Successful completion of all first semester modules according to the curriculum.
– Individual and family income

In case of equal grades and income, a draw is held. In case the student declines the scholarship, it is awarded to the next person in the ranking order.

Procedure:

Students, after receiving an invitation at the end of the first semester, submit an application to the Department Secretariat, with the necessary supporting documents. The MSc Program Coordinating Committee examines the candidacies and makes recommendations to the Department Assembly, which takes the final decision.
