Research summary: Her main research topics are summarized in paleontology, evolutionary paleoecology, and paleoceanography. 

She is currently working in calibration-validation-application of geochemical proxies for sea surface temperature (SST) and salinity (SSS) determination, ocean/climate changes, and subsequent paleoenvironmental reconstructions during the Neogene and Quaternary by means of both marine cores and land sedimentary sections through integrated micropaleontological, paleoecological and geochemical proxies.
