Research summary: Palynologist with expertise on the study of pollen, dinoflagellate cysts and non-pollen palynomorphs.

Her research is focused on the response of vegetation to Quaternary climate change through palynological analysis of sediments from lake or marine deposits and the stratigraphic correlation of marine and terrestrial deposits.

Significant part of her research activity considers the reconstruction of the human palaeoenvironment, impact of past human societies on vegetation, natural and anthropogenic landscapes of the Holocene, palynological analysis of deposits of archaeological interest.
